I'm being hazed and I don't know who to contact about it. Do I go to PHA? Do I go straight to the dean? Who do I contact in the case of myself and fellow new members being hazed by the actives in my sorority? I don't want to name names on here, I just want someone to point me in the right direction so this can be handled and I can drop.

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. Go immediately to PHA. You can find their contact info on their website.

Report to PHA. Immediately. Give vivid description. Try to have other witnesses to report with you.

By: Yes
by: No problem.

If this is the house I think it is, you will have no problem finding other witnesses/victims. 1) confide in a trusted friend w/in the house 2) contact MU PHA 3) document everything 4) contact HQ in Columbus, OH.

By: No problem.

Shut up and stop being dramatic. DG doesn't haze. I'm in DG. Whoever this girl is having issues with is not DG because PHA is still breathing so far down our necks so why would we be stupid enough to try anything ever again? It's not worth getting kicked off. Sorry. Nice try with the blame game though. So chill, stupid drama queen.

There are girls who feel "pressured" to drink in EVERY house just because girls are going out and they don't drink and feel left out. JUST DROP. Don't screw over a whole sorority full of girls who aren't hazing you, just because you feel like one is (when they may or may not actually be hazing).

By: Seriously.

Can you read? I never said she shouldn't report it and I never said the hazing was related to drinking. I merely said the first step was to talk with someone in authority within the house who had the power to make it stop before getting the entire house in trouble. How do you know other people in the house know about it and that it is not one-on-one? I learned in class about situations in business that are similar. If you have a problem within your department you should always talk to your supervisor first to solve the problem before going over their head to HR. Going to HR is a last resort. I would think you should talk with an officer in the local chapter first before doing something that could get a house kicked off campus or not allowed to participate in events that make the sorority experience special for the entire chapter.

If you plan to quit anyway, there is no reason you shouldn't tell them that 1) what they are doing is hazing 2) you plan to report them 3) it has to stop. Refusing to be hazed is just like standing up to a bully. It is within your power.
