don't do it
by: lllllPNMs going through rush might have a tendency to do something dramatic to stand apart from the crowd, like the odd girl who for some reason couldn't walk like everyone else, but took her long board from house to house. My recommendation: don't do it. You want to stand apart for the right reasons (grades, honors, activities), not the wrong reasons. Resist the impulse to do something strange: and that includes making your own clothes and letting people know about it; doing odd things with makeup (hint: too much makeup runs on hot summer days and makes you look cheap)or introducing weird topics on conversation. Let your resume speak for itself and don't be a distraction. Just be normal and if we are interested we will find out more about you.

I personally know the girl who rode her long board to campus to make it to the recruitment parties. She didn't ride it from house to house as it would obviously be nearly impossible to do with so many PNMs running around trying to make to the houses in time. There's nothing wrong with what she did or even trying to make yourself stand out. I also know "longboard girl" got into a really good house for just being herself. Please stop the madness and let the PNMs show their real selves during recruitment and not decide how they should do it.

Which house? Because I loved that girl and we didn't get her and I've always wondered where she ended up.
