level of difficulty

How hard is it to get a bid from a sorority at Mizzou? Is it extremely competitive? Do a lot of girls not make it or get cross cut? Or do most girls who rush end up with a bid?

It's incredibly difficult to get all but three of them. It's really helpful to have rec letters and connections but as long as you're good at small talk, have good grades, you're not weird, and can make a T Shirt look cute, you've got a shot.

There isn't one house that will take ANYBODY, even our bottom tier has standards. The real reason it's hard is because so many girls rush here that there just aren't enough spots. Our bottom tier here is better than the top tier at my old university where greek life was much smaller, so being apart of any house here is a challenge in itself. Only one in three girls got a bid this year.

So this year for formal recruitment, roughly sixty six percent of the girls who rushed didn't get into a house. That's a lot.

A lot of girls who rushed ended up getting houses they just didn't care for so they ended up dropping out. As long as you are normal, its likely that you will end up with at least one house. It may not be one of your top choices but it'll be better than nothing if you want to be greeek.
