rushing as a junior

by: Rush123

I’m going to transfer to Mizzou in the fall and I really want to rush! I am 19, I will be a junior and I have a 3.2 GPA. Although, I’m going to be a junior I am going to also get a minor, so I will be at Mizzou for at least two years. Do you think I would have a chance? I’m trying to be realistic.

Yes go for it. I think its great. Be aware most of your pledge sisters will be younger and less mature than you. But, I say go for it. Good luck

But what no one is telling you is that the top houses won't really be interested, not so much because you're a junior, but because of your gpa. I also don't understand the big deal about a minor. Doesn't everyone have at least one minor? If you get into a house that will let you move in the first year, great. Otherwise you will likely be the only senior living in the house. Most seniors are way beyond that.

Couldn’t you choose to not live the sorority or do they require it? I would prefer not living in the house

If you don't want to ever live in a sorority house, what's the point? You'd be paying dues but never be part of the sisterhood that develops when you live under the same roof. I don't get it. What am I missing?

So what if you don't get into a top house?! Not the end of the world.

If you want the sorority experience, there are several houses that would welcome you "HOME" at their sororities.

Good luck and GO FOR IT!
