instagram dms?

by: PNM

hey y'all! so I don't want to give out too much information but I've had a few actives reach out to me during the no contact period. I have been really busy trying to finish up school, and with prom and graduation I haven't had time to meet with them. I know that this isn't allowed by Panhellenic, but is there any way I could get in trouble if I meet up with them even though they were the ones who reached out to me first?

Again, something an actual PMN would NEVER come to this site and say.

Trolls gotta try harder. Why do our trolls suck so badly?

IF this is true please don't engage in any contact with them... And that goes for ANY other PNMs reading this who may be in the same situation. Dirty rushing is low and against the rules. And actives who do dirty rush DO NOT represent their house well. Ask yourself - would you want to be in a house that breaks the rules to try to get ahead?

I just hate this message of do not interact. It's such an archaic and useless rule. Bama is no longer an insular in State University, with girls who are coming here already knowing houses, and reputations

Joining a sorority is it huge investment of time and money and as much information as possible is wise

No matter what your opinion is, rules are still rules. And if I'm being completely honest, if Panhellenic truly believed PNMs benefitted from PNMs and actives being in contact then they would lift the rule. It's as simple as that. The truth is MANY PNMs feel uncomfortable with actives contacting them, whether it be through DMs, texts, comments on insta, etc. It's just not fair. The point of this rule is to allow girls to come into their own. They deserve to make their own decisions without feeling pressure to join a certain house... Because that's what dirty rushing it, it's pressuring PNMs into thinking a certain way about your house leaving them feeling that they'd be at a "loss" if they didn't join your house.

email panhellenic. it’s not cool of girls to break the rules and not fair to the PNMs who they may not know. meeting with them will not benefit you in the long run

Honestly meet with them... if you aren’t from Alabama and there are few girls from your high school / town no one will find it plus it could really help you out

you do realize you created your post on may 31 6:47 PM.
you do realize you told us you are busy prepping for prom which would be in June?

sweetie, every high school in the south ended weeks ago.
even the northeast where they start the spring semester late (tons of snow delays in January, so they start later), my high school ended very late June 18th and our prom was still in May.

My prom was in May but I have friends in upstate NY that have theirs June 15th. The north gets out a lot later than the south bc of snow and starting later

What are you even talking about? I'm from the northeast and we go until the week of the 20th. Prom was on Friday. And snow delays start the spring semester late? What does that even mean? We follow our school calendar, the school schedule allows for a certain number of snow days and if we go past that they take away from spring break or something. Depending on where you live and how the calendar falls school starts right before labor day or immediately after, so our second semester starts later as well. It has nothing to do with snow. Stop with the detective work you sound dumb.
