If Ballinger turned himself in how can he plead not guilty?

He didn't turn himself in to confess. He was most likely wanted for arrest and his lawyer advised him to cooperate with the police. He pleaded innocent.

He has a very respected Ithaca lawyer who knows how the system works here and is friendly with judges and police. This will now turn into a legal game.

But what Cornell will decide to do about the alleged perpetrator and his frat will be of high interest to the national media.
