Old Row Sororities
by: Curious OOS PNMI’m from OOS and have always heard the sororities with the best looking girls are the top ranked at our big university . But at UGA, it seems the sororities are ranked by this old row classification. In looking at social media, that doesn’t always mean best looking. So what makes old row the best at UGA exactly? This is a sincere question since I’m new to this state and have always heard about good looks determining rank in my home state. Thanks for any helpful answers!

There is no "old row" at uga. Only insecure people desperate for clout try to use it here but it's cringy AF to everybody else to say the least. Old Row is a bama frat thing only, where there is an Old Row of fraternities. It's an actual street LOL but it denotes the oldest frats on their campus and there's some clout in that. For them.
The real truth is that only outsiders that are not actually in greek life are obsessed with ranking greeks, which includes pnm's. Also freshmen frat boys because they don't know better. After you've been here a year you realize that nothing magical happens to anyone who joins what is supposed to be a 'top' house and there is no actual recognition. They aren't more attractive or successful or admired, they don't have a better social life, they haven't unlocked an achievement.
I'm sorry you feel the need to buy into the concept of "ranking" groups of hundreds of girls. It would be most "helpful" for you not to do it to other women, especially at uga where there is not an actual hierarchy of sorority women. If you are an actual student you'll see when you get here.

Thanks for your explanation. That term old row came up at least a dozen times in my orientation group when we were discussing rush. But those people were from the Atlanta area, so maybe it was just their opinions. I hadn’t heard of it before.
