Greek Life at UMD is amazing. You can find your true home in greeklife. It really creates life long bonds that everyone will cherish. You will find some of your best friends here, and they don't even have to be in the same org as you.

The Greek Life population is pretty average considering the size of the school and how many students go to UMD, as compared to a much larger college. As for housing, Greek Life does not technically have houses or a Greek Row, however, many Greeks live together with either their own organization or even mixed in with individuals from other Greek organizations. The Greek organizations are all pretty close and intermingle so the social scene can be a lot of fun. There a lot of people who have different definitions of what is fun so it's easy for them to get together and find mutual interests. As for competitiveness, it really depends on the organizations and their individual process, but trust me you will definitely find your fit!
