Legacy is the correct word. Strings were the most compelling, hilarious, accepting, smart and fun group of women imaginable. This group has a long, long history of not taking itself too seriously, and I'm not surprised that a national Greek sorority had more than a little trouble handling their independence. The fact that everyone is STILL even talking about "Strings" says it all. If you want friends that you will have for the rest of your life, join this group.

Legacy!!! If you go to Wake, you are already know what being awesome is about. And you know what having a colorful and storied history means. That is part of what makes this group of girls more than just another sorority. Strings will never die at Wake-- they were sanctioned as the first women's society at Wake, and even when the national PiPhis split ways with Wake, the school was angered. So it is so awesome, and a testament to Strings that the legacy lives on!! Rock on!!

It's just sad that they never learned from their past mistakes. These girls are too concerned with keeping their DGAF and party image, that they do no philanthropy events and aren't held to the same standard as the Panhel sororities. Enjoy all your mixers while you can

If you're just a friend of a recent pledge, I doubt you know a single thing about Strings either. Why would your friend even be talking about it considering that should not have a single thing to do with today's KBG? Also, it shouldn't be "numerous girls in OUR sorority who choose not to drink," but nice try at a hidden self rank, beta. Where do you hide these non-drinking girls anyway?? EVeryone I've seen prides themselves on being bleta. Blackout beta, if you're uninformed.

heard a kbg today talking--loudly--about both pi phi AND strings activities in the same breath. what? you are neither of those organizations. classless and disrespectful to what REAL greek women stand for.
