spring rush
by: Tamu2019Hey so I'm thinking of rushing in the spring for a fraternity, thing is I have no idea where to start. I'm a smart guy, and I'm looking for smart people to be around who know their priorities. I'm a p.o.c and I'm not cowboy at all, any recommendations?

Lol they're not concerned with looks. Fiji isn't known for being the most attractive. They're concerned with money. What does your dad do for a living? What wealthy high school/neighborhood are you from? What brand of clothes do you wear? What kind of car do you drive? Stuff like that. I don't think very many fraternities care about looks much. That's reserved for the sororities

Fiji has a reputation for primarily bidding kids from wealthy families but most fraternities won't care about money as long as you can afford to pay your dues. Really, I'm pretty sure even Fiji has quite a few middle class members, it's just a general stereotype

Maybe Sig Ep. Most of the guys there are pretty decent, and it's a solid fraternity, pretty upper-mid.
Guys are more open minded too. KA/Fiji have guys in business/engineering majors but they're also snobbier. Beta is super cowboy. SAE and Sigma Chi party a lot. I don't think Delt is known for being particularly studious. Maybe Pike or Sigma Nu?

Most fraternities are made up of mostly engineering/business majors not just KA and Fiji

I've been told fiji is really just highland park kids ( i'm from Dallas) and similar places from other cities and they're really... how do i say, concerned with looks.
