I want to do COB
by: COBHi. Yesterday I did not love the houses I had left as they did not feel like home. I ended up dropping recruitment and am quite sad. Do you know who is likely to COB this year and when that will start? Also how do I go about participating?

You had more than House that wanted you…..and you dropped?! Ugh. Girls that WANT to be Greek and know the financial and time commitments and WANT it…but drop because they don’t think they are a “bottom tier” girl make me mad. There’s no other way to say it. They don’t have an immediate connection with the 5 members they talk to so they think they’re better than to end up there. They’re disappointed that’s not the case so they drop. Meanwhile girls would love to be in those houses. I just don’t like that attitude.

And for the record, it’s normally only the houses you probably had left that do COB. If anyone else does it’s just a couple of girls and very quietly. And if they didn’t want you during rush why would you want to join them now?

You know this tier thing is kind of annoying. Just because a sorority is “top” for one does not mean they are top for another. My daughter actually cut what one would consider to be a top sorority because it just wasn’t her vibe. She is thrilled with who she has because of the connection with the girls and common interests.
