ALL videos pale in comparison to the real thing. That’s why we need to go back to 100% IN PERSON recruitment. Despite the heat and the cost. Greek orgs are primarily SOCIAL, let’s not forget that. I like my social life in person, thank you. Videos don’t give a clear picture of how the sorority is OR the pnm. It’s awkward and fake for everyone.

We ‘re getting more people in Greek life who don’t really want to be social, they just want a resume builder. They slip in by hiding their awkwardness cleverly behind the screen, then hibernate in their dorms and never go out. I’m sorry, but if you join a sorority, you have a responsibility to be social and show up to stuff. You’re taking a spot from someone who would participate. In person, members can tell more who’s legitimately going to bring something to the table instead of just take. Even a quick pass through during open house can give you a glimpse of a pnms presence or lack of.
