Greek dating scene
by: pnm momWhat is dating like among Greeks at A&M? Is it all hook up or do guys actually ask girls on dates? I’ve heard girls do most of the asking or jump at dates/ hang outs last minute. How do I prepare my sweet, pretty, shy daughter for this. She’s living in callaway and has some friends in what you all would call “mid to upper mid” sororities. In my day boys asked girls and were pretty respectful. Praying things have not changed that much and people are just exaggerating. Btw, this site terrifies me as a mom, though my better judgment tells me it’s mostly nonsense.

A&M guys are mostly gentleman, tbh. You have a few who are jerks, but they are the exception at A&M and usually get sidelined. Lots of great non greek guys as well, mens orgs, etc, lots to choose from if you’re a decent girl. Realize that guys in tough majors who are very driven career wise sometimes don’t have time for frats, and these will be some of the best to know now and after college. I have had several ask me to lunch or coffee on or off campus. Casual dates are fun as well as frat date parties. A good variety. If you put off a nice girl vibe and stick to safe locations and word of mouth from your friends, you should be good.
