Group Rankings IMO

So here in Greek Life we have 3 basic groups: the “it girls” aka those that are into winning songfest and Instagram, the “classics” aka those girls traditionally from big cities and into camp/religion, and “the girls next door” aka the nice girls in it for sisterhood. Although there is always some overlap you can’t really compare the 3 bc they are just different girls at heart. They also have things that make each chapter stand out so keep that in mind as well. So here is my take on rankings within these 3 groups:

Texas A and M is UF as far as academic standards. It is easy to get into A and M.

This is a false statement. The US World repot shows TAMU acceptance rate is 56 percent Not 6 percent! Huge difference. Texas has a higher acceptance rate. A and M you are just average and no your ladies are not all TOP tier!

Automatic admission to A&M is granted to Texas students graduating in the top 10% of their hs class. You are confusing A&M and t.u. (which is top 6%). At any rate, neither of these schools EXCLUSIVELY accepts only the top 10 or top 6 percent, respectively.

It is only “easy” to get in to A&M if you attend a low performing high school. This is due to the TOP 10% RULE.
It is very difficult to be in the top 10 percent at a competitive/ private high school where that cut off might be a 4.5. As opposed to some country school where a 3.7 is top 10 percent.
Top ten percent rule penalizes students from competitive high schools.

Well, they weren't involved in a scandal (Kappa) and they don't dirty rush (Chi-o), so why wouldn't they be ranked like that??

I’d still put them in the it girl group because they go into Greek life trying to be an it girl, not necessarily because they are it girls. Same goes for DZ, and especially because those 2 sororities also don’t really fit into girl next door or classics
