I am a freshman that got cut from all the houses but four. What did I do wrong? Every house I wanted dropped me. I have a clean social media and a good resume

1450 PNMS for 13 houses. Houses with high retention rates probably had to cut close to 800 PNMs on Sunday night. If you didn't have a good connection (friend/camp/something) inside a house - you were an unknown and that made it easier to move you to the lower 2/3 of their list.

Stay in the process and enjoy the invitations you did receive. In the end, you'll have yons of fun.

All sororities have great girls. Do you think only so-called top tier groups have good people? NO. You will be friends with these people through the best and worst of times. Look beyond recruitment. Keep an open mind. Are you a good person? You think you are. Well in all sororities you'll find other really good girls. Remember that.

Talk this over with your Rho Gam. That's what they are there for. I don't think this is a healthy place for you to voice your genuine concerns. Too many active member on here forgetting where they've been and how delicate these situations can be.

KEEP IN MIND- so many girls were cut this first round and dispersed into other chapters. Great great great, fantastic girls, like you, filling into other chapters. You will have a pledge class somewhere with so many girls alike because there are too many of you to just be in one particular house. There are incredible girls passing through rush this year and it will make every chapter here at A&M so much stronger. Do not get discouraged. You will find girls in the same head space and by luck will have it, at the same party or same chapter on bid day. Especially these next rounds, look who is standing next to you in the lines at each party. This will be your future pledge class.

What you will find after recruitment is over is that most girls in sororities hang out with other sororities. You are all more alike than different. Most sororities also require pnm’s to attend other sorority events in support of one another and you get points for attending which are important if you want a chance to live in most houses. You are making new friends now in the dorms or Callaway and will most likely keep in touch with these girls after recruitment because you live around them. Chin up - get off Greek rank and make the most of this experience.

It is totally a numbers game. Please don't drop because you didn't like the houses left. You also have not talked to many if any of them. Every house has every type of girl. Join one and make a difference. You have to decide if you want to "be greek" or not. Rushing as a sophomore is rarely any different.
