How likely is it for a sophomore to be cut?

Is it more competitive for sophomores to get a bid? Is is possible and likely to go through rush and have two houses for preference round as a sophomore?

houses have different rules for things like this. Often there are actually sophomore spots to be filled as less sophomores rush than freshmen. it is so possible for sophomores to be really wanted women in the houses & totally likely that you will have 2 houses on pref! Good luck!1

Upperclassmen quota works the same way that freshman quota does - the number of u/cs with Pref invitations divided by the number of houses. You are not at any point during the week “competing” with freshmen.

And yes, many sophomores have fantastic rushes! Especially if they were involved on campus freshman year, made lots of friends with actives & have a high gpa.

I rushed as a sophomore and had two great houses at Pref and rushed the chapter of my choice. It helped to know girls already in both chapters which I feel gives you the advantage of rushing as a sophomore. It's one of the perks. You'll be awesome!
