Bid Day isn’t always Best Day

by: Hey

I saw a similar post on another school’s page and thought it was important to share here for any actual PNM ladies who might be reading through GR. Bid Day isn’t always as awesome as it looks on IG or on YouTube. It is super hot, you’re super tired from such a draining week and it can also be awkward AF because everything h has been so built up and now it’s come to a screeching halt and you’re at this house with these girls who you don’t really know yet and you’re supposed to be all excited. Lol! Just know if it’s overwhelming or weird, it’s totally okay. Yes, Bid Day is fun but it may also be a little strange. That’s why it’s super important to jump in and get active as soon as you can with your new pledge class. The older girls who are in charge of new member activities do a pretty good job of creating opportunities and spaces for new girls to hang out. Just make sure you take advantage of that. And know that actives on the other side of recruitment are JUST as exhausted as you all are. Bid Day is like the jolting stop after a crazy roller coaster ride. Just know if you put yourself into GL, you’ll enjoy it a ton.

I'd even further it to say that the people doing recruitment are probably more tired than the PNMs lol. The thing is, take a couple of days after bid day to recuperate, but do not miss the opportunity to get your first bonding moments with your pc and new sisters!
