Is kappa recruiting this year?

I’m signing up for recruitment this year, and I am confused if Kappa is allowed to recruit or not...

No one knows for sure yet or it’s being kept hush hush, but imagine paying expensive dues and not getting to have events. That’d suck!

the shouldn’t be and everyone knows but rumor is that they are, if axo or zta would’ve pulled that stunt the wouldn’t be, super sad to see cpc treating houses differently

They are the only chapter that hasn’t posted about recruitment registration being open soooo idk. They shouldn’t be allowed to tbh.

if kappa doesn't participate in recruitment, how does that affect numbers? are more girls gonna get cut because a whole house cant participate or is every other house going to take a little more?

If a chapter didn’t participate in fall formal rush, it just means quota increases and pledge classes get bigger. Quota is just math: it’s the number of PNMs with 1+ Pref invitations divided by the number of chapters participating.

For simple math,
1300 PNM’s divided by 13 houses = Quota is 100

1300 PNM’s divided by 12 houses =
Quota is 108-109.

Quota is determined by the number of PNMs still in recruitment going into pref, not by the number of PNMs who start recruitment at the beginning. And no, not everyone gets a bid. Some girls get dropped by all the sororities, but if that happens, a snap bid or COB is possible. If going into pref you only have one sorority then that is what you will get. If you have two, then it could be either one.
