WHY is your definition of "quality" diversity? Just because something is diverse does not mean it is therefore quality. I'm not dissing diversity but when that becomes all we think about, we lose our focus.

Diversity by default challenges you to think outside of yourself which causes a subconscious chain reaction known as "growth". This is singular. Now imagine if your organization was diverse enough in demographics, studies and opinions that it challenged all of the peers in your organization. The one note singular "focus" you talk of would be blown out of the water to greater possibilities, not only as a whole but for you yourself. It's transformative. You should try it.
