not connecting
by: Active
All these posts about "not connecting" to the houses you have left and hoping for snaps or COB - think about what you are saying.
The houses you no longer have, but you want, those are the houses you didn't connect with. Those are the houses that released you because they didn't think you were a good fit. Cuts were hard from Philanthropy to Sisterhood, but chapters have to make about that same percentage of cuts again before Pref invites. If you have been released from a house before Sisterhood you are not going to get a snap from them, not ever. Facts.
So, now you are left with an actual decision, do you stay and take a bid from a "lower tier" or do you remove yourself from Greek life altogether? Well, why did you register for recruitment? Did you go through recruitment to be a Tri Delt or did you register to find a group of friends on the campus of TAMU, a social network, a sisterhood, a place of support and encouragement?
If you only wanted to be in a certain house and they have released you, well then quit, cry and get off the row.
But, if you wanted the later, smile, engage and get through your parties with grace. Look around at who else is at your parties, this is a good indicator of what your pledge class will look like. The PCs this year look to be large and if you have 85 girls it's going to be lots of fun and lots of friends. You'll have to power to make an image for your house.
Stick it out! Greek life at TAMU is super fun and we need girls that are hard working, fun and want to make relationships!
Why would you just quit and cry at this point?
