Why do I get cut from some houses and not others?
by: ???I got cut from like KD, DZ and other ones and stuff but then got to come back to Zeta and tridelt and kappa ? I mean I also got cut from some top ones too like dg and pi phi but I just don’t understand what some people saw in my video that others didn’t. Especially since it’s just 1 minute???! Like I feel like I deserve another chance. I mean I’m happy with the houses I got back but just confused on how it works

I’m sorry but this stinks of privilege like you somehow think how dare a house like KD cut you when DDD invited you back. Recruitment is competitive at A&M and all chapters make cuts. You will be blessed to get a bid from any of the houses here. Pls show some appreciation for the houses you have, including the ones who don’t “rank” as high on this site!

You can get cut first round from ANY house regardless of stupid “tiers” for a number of reasons; gpa, fit in the chapter, if anyone knew you had a bad reputation in HS, poor involvement, or no rec letter... etc. just because this website says some houses are “bottom” doesn’t mean they’re not selective for a number of reasons too! DZ goes for a certain look and a large social presence with a bubbly friendly attitude and KD likes wholesome girl next door types, they might not be as popular on this site but that doesn’t mean they have a problem recruiting the specific girls they’re looking for, same for any other house

Exactly I didn’t like the tone of her question at all. Like DZ & KD should be desperate for her because, well, Kappa & Tri Delt want her. The truth is they are all very different chapters and literally NO house on the row is desperate for PNMs that they would take anyone. If she came across as entitled as she sounds here it is no wonder they cut her.

Sure I can try to help but my idea of what they want might not be as accurate for houses I’m not in!
Kappa/DDD/Chio- generally target girls from wealthier areas with lots of involvement on their resumes.. think student council etc, these were probably your HS most chill popular girls, social, mostly friendly and pretty
DG/ZTA/AXO/DZ- not necessarily the same but they can be grouped together for looking for girls that look a certain way... think bubbly, blonde (but not always), pageant girls sometimes, mostly skinny, Instagram savvy and outgoing/social partier type
Theta/ Chio- they kinda overlap too and go for a certain campy type, religious, not as flashy and more natural looking makeup/face wise and just generally sweet and thoughtful personalities
GPhi/Piphi/ KD- sorta the same in the sense that they both go for a mix rather than focus on targeting a certain type... sweet social girls, involved, chill, but not necessarily a certain look, probably pretty popular in HS but you don’t need 2k insta followers for a bid
ADPI/Aopi- harder to pin down but they go for anyone who they can vibe with! For them looks don’t matter as much as sisterhood and conversations!!

Everyone freaking out on you when you asked a legitimate question. Answer is who knows. Maybe you know girls in those houses. If any girl in any house knows you she has to vouch one way or the other for you. Also, lower tier houses cut girls they don’t think will pref them. This happens all the time because they want higher return rates and they don’t want to invite girls back that don’t like them.
