Impressions of recruitment 2019

1 year out impressions from recruitment & beyond

Full disclosure: this is just MY impressions of each house and probably all chapters have good nice girls so PNMs take this as you will but know it’s just my take!

In no particular order:
Pi Phi - came off as a good chapter. Couple girls seem a bit tightly wound and conventionally “sorority stuck up.” Overall good impression tho and they seemed to genuinely care to get to know me as a PNM
KD- nothing bad to say about this chapter. A bit harder to pin down the vibe during recruitment but prolly bc they are bit more diverse than other chapters???
Kappa- ok, some of my impressions have been clouded by the fact that a good friend went kappa. She’s a hard core legacy with an active older sibling at anther school so she was super excited to get her bid. While the girls are nice enough to her, literally alllll of them are from like 4 high schools and/or camps and already have pretty established friend groups with not a lot of room. Again, girls aren’t mean or rude, but I would say she’s not had the greatest experience in kappa at least as compared to other girls i know in different houses
Tri Delt - This one could not have been more stereotypical sorority girls and I think the ones I met at recruitment could have cared less if I was there or not and I cut them early because A. I figured they would cut me anyway and B. They are so not my vibe. Think $$$ and snotty rich girls.
Delta Zeta - these girls had some of the best parties and I liked their vibe but wow that’s a lot of blond hair! very friendly tho & most of them seemed like they had genuine friendship in the house. I now know some DZs thru a HS friend and while I always thought they had a reputation of being party girls, tbh I don’t really see it
AXO - they were actually a similar vibe to DZ. (not as much blond hair lol) but everyone was super pretty & nice and no negatives here
Theta - these girls are big time church-y and if you aren’t down with Our Lord And Savior this house is not for you but very good chapter and girls were sweet but not very polished and girls I know now in Theta are def a bit granola
Chi O- a lot like Theta but more judgey about it and tbh a little full of themselves for what they are and girls were not as pretty and I know a couple of girls outside recruitment now and tbh they are a little that way
ADPi - again, this house is more diverse & random so harder to get the vibe. I did not feel it with them but nothing really negative to say
Zeta- loved these girls and their parties were great. Vibe was again similar to DZ (prolly because OMG blond hair again and so much spray tan) but girls were nice & pretty and seemed super fun and they do like to party and go out
DG- really nice house which I think they use to their advantage during recruitment. Pretty girls but again the vibe was a bit like you we’re lucky to be there and full of themselves so it was not that interesting. DGs I know now like to go out but “name drop” the frats a bunch
Gamma Phi - nothing negative to say here. Girls seemed nice & really interested in getting to know PNMs. I get the feeling the girls are genuinely friends which is good although a few times I felt kind of put on the spot & it was a bit awkward

Overall recruitment was a good experience and the takeaway is that all houses are different but you have to find the one that’s right for you and you really can’t rely on reputation on GR!!!
