Jameis Winston is a future Hall of Fame QB
by: GOAT
Like him or not, Jameis Winston could very well become a Hall of Fame quarterback. He is one of the most controversial players in the NFL, mostly because the media continuously spread false narratives about him due to his off-the-field issues. The statistics, however, refute the idea that Winston is no longer a starting caliber QB. He's the youngest Pro-Bowl QB in NFL history, the only QB to start his career with back to back 4,000-yard seasons, and #2 in NFL history in career passing yards and TDs before 25. Plus, he now gets to learn behind Drew Brees for a year and just had Lasik surgery, which will significantly improve his ability to progress through his reads. He's the real deal, but y'all ain't ready for that conversation.

I mean everything Jameis Winston has accomplished has been a fruit-cake, walmart version of Jacoby Brissett's NFL career. You could even say that, given their caliber entering the league, Brissett has shown much more improvement, as a 3rd round pick out of NC State, as opposed to what has so far been a complete Heisman bust. Brissett was mentored by Brady, whereas Winston was replaced by Brady. Obviously the lasik could change a lot, but the NO offense made teddy bridgewater look like a top 10 QB for like 5 games, and he barely even has a left leg anymore. HOF is out of the question for Jameis, but I can't wait to see how Jacoby's career turns out.

I'm not knocking on Jacoby Brissett at all, quite frankly I think he'll learn a lot from Rivers this season and reboot his career. But I think he's nowhere near Josh Rosen's level of talent. Rosen was thrusted into a terrible situation, with one of the worst offensive lines we've ever seen. He excelled at UCLA with a system that was built around his play-style, but no one in the NFL is willing to build that into their playbook. That being said, Jameis Winston is still the youngest player to pass for 40 TDs and consecutive 450+ yard games.
