Zeta and DG self proclaimed top

I’m a kappa/ddd (don’t really want to say which) and I’ll be honest, I have never seen a pnm choose anything over my house except for kappa/ddd (the one I’m not in). Actually that’s not true, very very rarely we’ll lose someone to chio but other than that, kappa and ddd know exactly who were pulling for before rush and then battle it out all week for the girls. We never worry about any other houses.. all week long we just worry about each other. On pref night you Will never ever hear someone say “my girl preffed zeta/dg/axo”
Whereas nearly every girl in my pledge class dropped zeta/dg right at the end and then chose between ddd/kappa.

This is so accurate wow. And in the end it ends up evening out to where most of my PC got there top choice between DDD/Kappa.

heres the thing about ddd and kkg. theyre def way harder to get into than other houses but that does not mean theyre better. they are (for the most part) full of high school cliques since both houses zip code cut. most girls that end up in ddd/kkg end up in the same friend groups with girls from their high school/ city and never branch out. my roommate ended up in one of those houses bc she is a legacy, and doesn’t even really like being in that sorority because the girls are so cliquey and exclusive. no hate to either house, a lot of girls like ddd/kkg because they went into college wanting to stay in their same friend groups from hs

The PNM’s and student body who consider ZTA/DG top are from a totally different background than the PNM’s who consider KKG/DDD top.

My freshman year suitmates were from Highland Park and they arrived at campus with a totally different list of “gotta pledge” houses than the girls from my high school. They didn’t have any friends who pledged DG or ZTA at any schools. They all went Kappa, Pi Phi, Theta, Tri Delt, and ChiO - or dropped rush.
