What each Sorority is known for
by: anonCan anyone share what each sorority is known for? Not their rankings, but the kind of girl that each attracts. I'm worried about joining a sorority that pretends to be something completely different while recruiting girls than how they really are. Thanks!

There are a lot of threads that already address this. I feel like there’s more of a type in sororities.
Type 1: churchy, camp counselor
Theta, Chi O,
Type 2: money, zip code
Tri Delt, Kappa
Type 3: party, dance types/cheer types, looks
DG, ZTA, AXO, DZ
Type 4: girl next door
KD, GPhi, Pi Phi, ADPi
I don’t include AOPi because they are still small and haven’t gotten a type yet.
That being said, you can find all types in every sorority. Typically in such large chapters, you’ll find your group within the group. These are just overall vibes.

Pi Phi is renown for looks and money, not just in Texas but Nationally.
Zip codes matter. Legacies not so much, unless mommy keeps her money and daddy set up house in the right zip.

Chi O- T BAR M girls and zipcoding , BCA guys
Zeta- dumb bottle blondes, very pretty
Theta/ Pi Phi- girl next door, religious
Kappa- rich girls, probs the least likely to seem sratty
Tri delt- party Jesus, really into AMC guys and BYX
G Phi/ ADPI/ AOPI- picks up lots of girls COB- Bush other houses first and you can always COB the next year
DZ- party girls, house can be catty,low philanthropy investment
AXO- fun girls , party and v pretty
KD- always nice girls, strong sisterhood, good house for girls who don't want to be seat only
DG- beautiful, very exclusive and kinda looks only, fun philanthropy event but low investment in their cause

Texas A&M dz contributes the most money to their national philanthropy out of all dz chapters. They care about their philanthropy

that’s p accurate! but I would say all the houses in the “girl next door” type are sOoooooo different from eachother
