joining a sorority if you’re not religious
by: QI’m really interested in joining a sorority but my one concern is that I’m not particularly religious. I’m not really interested in bible study groups or things like that and am worried that maybe sorority life isn’t the best fit then.

It's okay to not be religious. Although many sororities hold Christian values, you don't have to follow Christianity. During recruitment, you might be asked about it because sororities might push bible study, but they really shouldn't bring it up because religion isn't something you are recruited on. If anything, divert it back to what you value or you can straight up tell them that you aren't very religious.

It's not a big deal. I lived in my house and some girls get up every Sunday and go to church together while others never do. No chapter will force you to be in a Bible study or attend other religious functions together. Do be aware that several chapters' rituals incorporate Bible passages or other Christian traditions and you won't know which chapters until you're a member. But it's really not a big deal.
When actives are prepping for rush convos, they're more likely to talk up their Bible Studies to girls who have FCA, Young Life, church mission trips or nursery workers on their resumes and they'll be ready to talk to you about how your interests and activities fit into their chapter. Chapters are huge here and pretty diverse, interest-wise.
