rushing fraternity as sophomore

Does rushing as a sophomore instead of as a freshman really affect my chances of getting into the fraternity I want to. My freshman year is really busy already and I don't want to have to choose between school and fraternities

Plenty of people rush as a sophomore. It doesn’t affect your chances at all, people would just ask casually “why did you wait?”. Grades are more important , so if you feel like you have to wait, then don’t worry.
