I'll respect ur opinion bc Beta isn't too bad and ive had plenty of good times w them, but recently , Delt & Sigchi > Beta. Their Fall17 PCs are both huge, both have a ton of cute guys, & both have been rising in quality recruitment the last few years....& I've never even heard Beta be compared to KA nor SAE in a "real top" convo until this post. Like If there was a big Beta event the same night as a big SigChi, or Delt event, the majority wouldnt be at Beta. Still, they did great this year w rush! but, I just can't be the only one who'd disagree w/your "Top 4" involving Betas

Beta isn't bad but they're not good either. They're definitely not top that's for sure. The last time they were considered a "good" fraternity was in the late 2000s when my older sister went here. I mean they still have some good guys but I think most people would say they've gone pretty far down in recent years. I mean come on, Beta almost fell apart on itself in terms of keeping its own members a couple years back, they haven't had a relevant party or chilifest in half a decade, and they still don't even have a house...yeah they get some cool guys from good backgrounds and stuff, and I think they're starting to recover and get on the up and up, but "recovering" means rising above frats like Pi Kapp and Kappa Sig to maybe start competing with Pike/Delt/Sigma Chi. Even then most girls would much rather go to an event by one of those chapters than anything related to Beta... They're nowhere near KA/FIJI/SAE or where Sig Ep used to be...

That depends on what you think qualifies someone as top tier, which is something no one seems to agree on. (Hence the perpetual debate of KKG/DDD vs. ZTA/DG or KA/FIJI vs SAE/SPE). If you think where you come from, what school you went to, money/social class matter most you probably think more highly of Beta. If you think parties, social life, looks, popularity matter most you probably think Beta is bottom tier because they don't rank highly in any of those regards.

Tbh there's a 50/50 split from what I've seen as to how sorority girls see Beta. Ask half of them and they either won't know who Beta is or they'll just think of the "Beta barn" and "rich kid rejects" stereotypes and throw them under the bus with all the tiny frats like DKE and ATO. On the other hand, Beta does have a lot of guys from the same schools that KA/FIJI and KKG/DDD/XO recruit from. Generally it's the guys that weren't part of the "in crowd" at those schools but they still come from similar backgrounds and get a bit of respect from those sororities/fraternities because of it. It also means that they come in with connections to those groups.

It makes sense really:
Bottom tier frat + top tier sorority connections = mid tier frat

Personally I don't think Beta is anywhere close to top tier but I think they're still a solid fraternity. I would put them below Delt but about equal with Pike and Sigma Chi

They're about equal w/Pike, and still below SigChi and Delt.
Betas just tend to hang w/different groups of girls (KKG/DDD/XO) bc they know them from home, which makes them more popular than they are (lower tier frat + top tier sorority connections = mid tier frat)
