Why would you want to join a sisterhood based on where girls are from? That's such a stupid reason to join a house and you will never find true friends that way.

I think kappa takes more auburn girls if anything. I swear every Tridelt I know is from west lake memorial or highland park.

Every Kappa I know is from Dallas, Memorial, or a private school, and I know more Tridelts from The Woodlands than from anywhere else. And it makes sense because people in the suburbs are more conservative and religious than city people anyways.

Also, it's "stupid" but makes sense that people feel more comfortable around those who share similar backgrounds. No one is saying that Kappa, Tridelt, and to an extent XO and Pi Phi have known each other since birth and are at high school 2.0 like what would happen at UT or SMU. But as a general rule, these houses are from solidly upper middle-class areas. At A&M, you don't have to be well-connected, just wealthy to be in a top tier. It's not good for morale if you have to work summers at Target to pay for your dues while 80% of your sisters are eating out at restaurants several times a week, studying abroad, and going to Cabo for Spring Break.

Kappa takes most Dallas/HP and San Antonio/Alamo Heights girls and tridelt takes most Austin/westlake and suburban girls like from the woodlands. Houston girls are pretty much split down the middle

Would that not almost make them easier on their legacies? Because when you think about it the first two rounds are sooo short that you could come off as the coolest person in a five minute convo. I think it would be harder if they were allowed to cut girls further along in the process. Like after multiple days of longer discussions. They would end up being much more critical of the legacies when you actually get to sit down and have a conversation instead of screaming in each other's ear for 5 minutes.

Not only does it sound pathetic but pnms are smart and can figure it out themselves. Most girls who end up going tridelt/kappa anyway will know they want those houses before rush anyway because they know people in them and your "advice" posts are absolutely pointless
