How would you know that? obviously you know because you are in one of them and you are just trying to make people forget about the fact that either kappa was on probation or that tridelt got really lazy this year

Why would you want to join a house where you already know everyone??? Isn't the point of joining a sorority to make new connections and have fun with your new sisters? Not to mention finding a philanthropy that you can really connect with?

Yes, those two are the hardest to get into hands down. Zeta is hard also but for different girls. Anyone who says otherwise is lying or delusional.
No one said you had to know everyone in the chapter. Don't be ridiculous. You probably do need to know a few girls and probably have at least one girl pulling for you though.
You should not go into rush thinking you must be in one of those though. I would have been happy in any of my top five for sure and probably more. I actually wanted one of those two houses and went to it pref night but ended up at my second choice. All worked out....now that I am in it my vp chapter really is a better fit for me and I love it. Just relax...the system works if you give it a chance!

I know that at big schools like UT and Alabama, it's the norm that legacies aren't taken if they're not also rich and well-connected, but at A&M, if we're legacies to any other sorority (other than Kappa and Tridelt) and we're not weird, is it pretty much a guaranteed bid?

No. Definitely not a garunteed bid. I'm a Tridelt legacy and ended up in another good house but was cut like 3rd round I think. And I don't think I'm weird unless I'm missing something.

The person was talking about sororities other than Kappa and Tridelt. I'd say that XO would also be another sorority where your legacy status won't be such a huge benefit because there are just so many XO legacies that they'll have to cut a lot.
For all the other sororities though, yes, in general, if you're a legacy you'll get a bid from your legacy house. If you have a clean reputation, not Blinn Team, and can look/act like a basic white girl with lots of Kendra Scott, then you're golden.

I see you are from dfw. If you are from highland park you can probably get a Bid unless you aren't all that/someone in the house dislikes you. If you're not from highland park you'll need to know someone or multiple someone's in order to get in. Most years both sororities will atleast take a few girls that no one knew. But you have to be drop dead gorgeous, super fun to talk to, smart, funny, and an all around good rusher to get in without any connections. Keep your options open. If you had a chance at a ddd/kkg bid you would likely not even need to ask this question. Don't be disappointed if you're cut. They both predominantly take girls that someone in the house already knows.

I have a lot of friends in both and tbh, if you don't have the connections, than you better have the whole package to even be considered... they want you to be: pretty, rich, smart, and socialable. That's what all sororities look for. But these two are the most sought after. So you better be REALLY pretty, rich, smart, and socialable if you don't know girls already in. And if you have actives that dislike you, you better just hit the road. They want the creme de la creme. I have another friend who has a 4.0 in bims, is drop dead gorgeous, can handle her liquor, and has a 2015 Range Rover Sport (so obvi not poor) and she still couldn't get a bid. Good luck lol
