is recruitment hard for out of state girls
by: pls helpI know greek rank isn't the most reputable site on the internet but I don't really know where to go with this question. Anyways, is rush harder for out of state girls who don't know anyone? I see a lot on here about how rush is based a lot on 'who you know.' and 'where you live.' Also I'm asking about all sororities at TAMU, not just top tier (tiers don't really matter to me that much). Also I am a person of color, so would that affect anything?

Being out of state will probably get you cut from the top tier sororities just because no one knows you. But it shouldnt hurt you too much with anyone else. Definitely rush. Color will not hurt you. Most girls in the traditional sororities at A&m are white, but that's because a vast vast majority of girls that rush at A&m are white. So don't let that scare you off. There are definitely girls of every shade in each and every sorority (:

It's no more difficult than in-state girls who don't know anyone. Of which there will be many when recruitment begins. Does not knowing anyone hurt you? I won't lie, yeah it'll be a total disadvantage for maybe 2-3 sororities. But I mean, that just puts you in the same boat as more than half of the other PNMs. Lack of connections won't hinder you from having a competitive recruitment.

Go to fish camp! Bond with the counselors because they want to meet you just as badly as you want to meet them!
