No, it does NOT mean the sorority is bad. Honestly, there is not a single bad chapter at TAMU. Every single chapter has great members and not so great members. Every chapter has girls who do the right thing most of the time and girls that don't. Any pnm who is selected to join a sorority at TAMU is blessed and they will have a great time no matter what chapter they end up in, as long as they focus on what it's really about...finding people who really get you and who will be there for you, regardless of what your letters are. I personally feel like so many pnm's come in worried about the name of the sorority where they will end up. Greek Life is so much more than just the letters on your shirt.

Also, yes. People do get butt hurt and hate down on other sororities. It's no different than certain groups hating down on other groups in high school. If one group starts to do a little better, everybody else feels like they need to put them in their place. It's pretty dumb. That's why, especially as Formal Recruitment gets closer, you will hear more and more to just trust the process and let the house choose you. You WILL end up where you are supposed to. Would you let some random website pick your friends in your real life? Probably not, I hope. So don't let other people's mess try and sway you on your college organizations either.
