Not as huge as some SEC schools but bigger and better than pretty much any university in Texas other than UT. Equal with most Southern schools barring places like Alabama, Ole Miss, etc. Only thing is that A&M as an administration hates greek life and favors the Corps which makes bringing it to the next level difficult

Great Greek life by Texas standards, but average for a Southern school. Number of Greeks is huge and most are highly involved, but they're dwarfed by a massive student body of almost 60k. Sorority row is impressive, but the frats are more spread out and run down. The only frats with good houses are SAE, Sig Ep, and Sig Chi. Recruitment is not as hard as UT or Alabama, but still rigorous and very selective for top tiers (DDD, ZTA, KKG, XO, KA, FIJI, SigEp, SAE)

The system at TAMU is not good. Basically gives you almost st no selection on what sorority you can join. you can be completely qualified to be in a top house but you will get shoved into a bottom house just to "even the field" and make all the houses equally bad instead of good houses and bad houses. That is why I went to Texas state.

honestly, I like it, but I wish the housing was better. I think a lot of people don't realize that greek life is actually pretty dang huge at tamu. I personally am involved and some of the parties are AMAZING and northgate is always bumpin. I would recommend better housing
