Do sororities have parties before rush? How do you get invited? is it bad if you don't?

If a group holds any gathering before the official recruitment process begins they are in violation of all Pan rules of recruitment. This tells you a lot about the character of this group. Do you really want to join a known group of cheaters? I won't mention names, but IF a chapter contacts you in any way before the first day of recruitment beware.
