do all chapters welcome out of state girls equally

I am excited to come to Texas in the fall and want to go through recruitment. Is it a rumor or fact that some houses prefer girls from Texas and I will be find my state a disadvantage?

The majority of our chapters welcome women from all states. You will have many opportunities available here. The "southern" houses do put more emphasis on your location ( Tri Delta, Chi Omega and Kappa Kappa Gamma) do lean toward Texas residents. Yet, even those groups have members from all areas of the country. Half of our student body members are from out of state now. Welcome to Texas.
