Yes! Tcu has more out of state people than in-state. So the strongest houses take girls from all over. Good luck during recruitment!

This school is usually a BIG SHOCK for girls from the east coast. Sure we have people from all over, but this is a Southern Way school. We don't apologize for being from Texas and we don't apologize for being Christian. If you're coming to carpet bag, then keep on moving.

Only kappa and tri delt care about the southern stuff. You’ll be fine and can still easily get into a top house! The top houses don’t care about being “southern”

It is not only 2 sororities that are into the Southern Way. If that's what you think , then you're either a Texan or you're very clueless.

I’m from NY and I’m not going to lie, I had a hard time during recruitment but love the house I’m in. You’ll be fine!

I'm from out of state, and this school has not been a good fit for me. When I complain, My friends back home constantly remind me that I should have known this was a Christian school in Texas. After all, it's in the name.

some houses seem to have stronger regional pulls from certain areas versus more southern pull, but I think some of that is just the snowball effect of having girls in a certain sorority bringing in more and more girls from their own home towns. But every house has people from all over.
...do what you can to get to know people & make connections now, before next August. Be open & friendly when you tour, orientation, frog camp, etc.

Also from CT!
I would say that regional stuff did have an impact on my recruitment process, but of course other factors can change things (grades, test scores, presentation, communication skills)...you’ll end up where you’re meant to be, but in the end— if a house cuts you, why would you want to be there anyways?
Being cut for things beyond your control is definitely frustrating but also shows the true character of the house beyond the “recruitment act”; because believe me, they all start to sound the same. Following recruitment is when people’s true colors come out, so make sure you choose the place you feel like the girls won’t just turn on you the day after bid day!

Hope this helps, best of luck!
