Why you should rush Sig Ep
by: YeaSigEp is committed to being a different kind of fraternity – one that recognizes the importance of the out-of-classroom experience and is committed to making that experience the safest and most empowering part of a college male’s life. SigEp is unique in that our brotherhood and all fraternity events are alcohol and substance free by choice. The brothers feel that the brotherhood we are constantly striving to build does not require alcohol to exist. The chapter also works to encourage other fraternities toward eradicating dangerous and illegal alcohol consumption.

SigEp has abolished pledging using the award winning Balanced Man Program. The BMP aligns perfectly with year-round recruitment. And it is simple to understand. Self-paced challenges allow for members to enter and exit challenges at their own pace. This also means there is never hazing. Let's say you are recruited in late January -- then you just join other members in the Sigma challenge who joined last semester and have already completed six of the eight Sigma Challenge meetings this semester. You join the rest of the members in the Sigma challenge for the remaining two meetings. If you have not attained Phi status by the end of the Spring semester, you can complete the challenge asynchronously using the game-changing Balanced Man Program App to unlock the Phi level and continue to make progress towards graduating with the rank of Brother Mentor.

Sigep nationally is now fully substance-free, and unlike other substance free nationals (Phi Delt, Beta) Sigep’s nationals cops actually enforce the no alcohol policy. Either the chapter have to go completely substance free, or they will get their charter revoked
