Even though KKG, KAO, PBP, DDD and XO will always be the top houses at OU, they are not for everyone. They have been "top" for many years and that is very unlikely to ever change. But all girls in so-called "mid" or "bottom" tier houses should band together and stay proud and strong. The "top" houses are full of superficial, materialistic and spoiled girls who you probably wouldn't like anyway and they will one day be the ones getting Botox, face lifts, and continuing on with their fake lives with their new fake friends. Love your "mid" and "bottom" tier sisters, who are true and genuine and come from true and genuine families. Treasure the REAL friendships you make and leave the pretending to the others.

Sorry, a couple of those are not top houses. I don't know how old you are, but you are definitely past your expiration date! ha ha ha!

why does alpha phi have a sign on the back of their house that says something about they are the one to be but no one else has a sign up?

I was a sorority girl at OU many years ago--I have not lived in OK for decades and I will tell you that if/when you leave the state then what you "were at OU" means little or nothing and rarely if ever comes up. No one cares. It's OVER. The people from "lesser" houses may go on to be tops in their fields, travel the world and leave the "especial Greek people" in the dust who went back to Tulsa to join Daddy's business. Don't take all this too seriously. Above all, be kind. You cannot see into the future and who will achieve excellence, importance or make a bona fide difference.

Ditto, but some things never change at OU. The top houses will always think they're better than everyone else and will only take girls who can satisfy their set-in-stone bid list criteria, even if half of them are QR or grade risks. As long as they're cookie-cutter rich on pom or cheer or beauty queens, they'll feel special because all the "top" houses will want them. How sad for them though. I'd rather have a house want me for me, not what I am or am not.

Please PNMs of 2012, STEP IT UP and be the ones who finally stop the "top house" insanity at OU and consider other houses. Trust us as we write this to you, our top houses could care less about you and only want your looks or your money. You will not be happy in them. They will try to change you and are really, really fake. You can be the pledge classes that make a difference!!!!! Do what YOU want, not what everyone is telling you you "should" do!

I started at OU in the late 90's. I'm still connected with the university and have seen some things change in greek life.

There has been change at OU in the top houses. Back when I was there the top 4 were KKG, KAO, PBP, and XO. The next two were GPB and DDD. All those six were "acceptable" houses. DG and AXO were "okay, maybe" houses. The others were considered lower houses.

Now, the top houses are still KAO and KKG, but they have been joined by DDD and to some extent GPB. PBP and XO are acceptable but not top houses (girls with behavior issues have hurt them some). DG and to some extent APhi are next. AXO is considered a bottom house.

Just sayin' ======> Things DO change. Even at OU.
