Are there any girls in sororities that are also involved in the Air Force ROTC at Ole Miss? If so, does it look good during rush to be involved in ROTC

That was really rude. I don't know if anyone that is in rotc but I think it could help you. In my opinion the air force is a great organization to be involved in!

the above comments are disgusting!!!! be appreciative of those who are actively wanting to serve the country you live in! What an awesome thing to want to participate in both ROTC and Greek Life at Ole Miss. I would be honored to have someone like you in my sorority. Go for it, girl!!

Go to every house that sees something special in you and wants to give you a chance with an open mind and you will find your home on bid day.

I'm sure whether ROTC "looks good for rush" isn't your deciding factor for doing ROTC or not.

I think serving our country is one of the most honorable things anyone could do and would also be honored to have a sister in ROTC.

But I agree with the general idea of the earlier posts.

Truth is, ROTC is one of the things that students who cannot afford college do. How will you be able to afford being in a sorority? Also have fun fighting a pointless war that Obama can't get us out of, and being a cog in our government's big military machine. There are better ways to serve this country.

Nope! Try again, darlin. A real Libertarian and Patriot stands up for what she believes in and what's right for our country even if the liberal media has brainwashed you to think otherwise! A real conservative advocates for small government and that includes the military and especially wasteful programs like ROTC.

Serving your country... Please... More like taking our tax dollars and getting a free lunch while you play G.I. Jane!

I'm not sure of the time requirements of being in the rotc, but sororities require a huge time commitment.

Will you have time for both. I don't know, I don't think any of my sisters are in the rotc

I know a girl who was in ROTC and was able to handle being in a sorority and ROTC and school. I hope you have good time management because you're going to need it!

One of my pledge sisters is in ROTC and is also in a sorority. All the comments above are unessecary and rude. My sister loves ROTC and our chapter. It can be done. There are also plenty of women who are sorority alums who have been deployed. I say, more power to you girl!!!!!

I wholehartedly disagree with the anti ROTC, anti armed forces posts above but read an interesting article in the _National Review_ that Rand Paul's anti-war policies should belong on the conservative agenda because they make the party more inclusive.

I understand the argument now but still don't think it's any reason to disrespect girls who are in ROTC! it's ok to have disagreements but at least be civil about it!!!

Which sorority and which branch and scholarship tier? My bf was in MS1 and said there were literally no girls from sororities. I also went to his DO and other events and didn't recognize any cadets from Greek life. I mean there aren't exactly a ton of females in general, yet people here make it sound like every sorority has several in the ROTC program.

I would be honored if anyone from my house was in ROTC and I'd fully support them but I honestly don't know anyone including my friends in other sororities who are in the ROTC program. as I understand it it's a huge time commitment, not impossible to do it and Greek life both, but probably very tough! if anyone was in a sorority and ROTC I doubt they're getting much sleep!
