Most PNMs will get a bid somewhere. As long as they don't have a bad reputation, or the personality of a rock, most girls will be fine.

Having a large quota does not make it easier to get a bid. There will be hundreds of girls who do not receive bids this fall. It sucks. But alpha phi is colonizing, so that is a good option for those girls who don't receive bids. Quota becomes larger as the freshman class expands and the number of girls rushing grows.

DDD, XO- most difficult, need lots of connections
KD, DG- difficult, need lots of connections and good resume
Phi mu- medium, connections aren't needed if good resume
KKG- medium but need less connections than phi mu
AOPi, Pi Phi- easy, don't need connections
Adpi, theta- easiest, don't need connections at all

Some girls will not get bids, but it would be because they have low GPAs and a bad rep (most likely).
DDD, KD, XO- Very difficult. You will need lots of connections (alum and members)
DG- Difficult. You need connections and a good rec. I do know a girl who got in without connections but she was very involved in HS.
Phi Mu, Kappa- Medium. You need connections and a good GPA.
AOPi, Pi Phi- Moderate/Easy. Connections would be best but you can get in without them. They are rising, so they're starting to get picky.
Theta, ADPi- Easy. No connections needed.

it is not true that "hundreds of girls will not receive bids this fall"!!! for the most part, the only girls who don't receive bids are girls who were a grade risk. I am going to be a sophomore next year and knew of only one girl who didn't get a bid to any sorority, and thats because she had a pretty bad video go around. don't stress at all about not getting a bid! you may not get a bid to your favorite house, but you will get a bid! and you will grow to love your sorority!

Adpi- easy to get a bid. no recs or connections required bc not desirable. they don't look for girls, just take whoever is left.
Aopi- possible to get a bid without connections, but not guaranteed at all, they getting pickier. They usually take nice, sweet northern girls.
Chi o- you better be a legacy/be good friends with an active/embody everything that is "chi o"
Tri delt- they have a list of most of the girls they want before rush starts. I don't know any girls in tri delt that the actives were not interested in beforehand (legacies/friends/perfect pnms)
Dg- you will want some very good recs. they look for the very "all-american, smart, involved" type of girl, so if you have your 2 recs and your personality just screams dg, you have a good chance of getting a bid.
Kd- connections!! They're similar to dg but wilder (not in a bad way).
Kappa- it's definitely possible to get a bid without connections if you fit in very well and the girls like you. Just make sure you have recs!
Phi mu- as long as you have a rec, you should be okay. People say it's really hard to get phi mu, but I have lots of friends in this house and none of them had connections. Just be sweet, have a good gpa, and be interested!
Pi phi- similar to aopi, connections are becoming more and more important. these are the wilder northern/oos girls.
Theta- they did blanket bids last year, aka they cut no one (they may have cut grade risks actually) regardless on whether they had a rec or not. same situation as adpi
