You better have some pretty good connections.Your definition of good and ours are totally different.
For the top houses (DDD, XO, KD) you will need to be good friends with some actives and alumni.
For the top mid (Phi Mu, Kappa) you'll need to be good friends with actives.
For mid (AOPi, Pi Phi) they have raised their standards. Most likely they will drop you first unless you know a few girls who love you.
Your connections have to stand up and try to persuade the alumni and the rest of the chapter to let you get through a round. Before rush, that girl would have to talk to alumni and say "She doesn't have the best grades, but we need her!"
GPA matters. Sororities are trying to up their game and your connections better love you.

Every sorority will accept a borderline grade risk if strongly convinced to to do so by alumni and actives speaking for them. I know two girls I went through rush with below a 3.0, one ended up DG and one ended up Kappa both had strong connections. They were dropped from every other sorority, including Theta. Last year girls I know were dropped by other sororities due to grades ended up in top tier sororities. It can happen if your connections are strong enough!

What about DG? I thought they were considered middle to top?
