connections

Connections can be either active girls in the house or active/advising alumni.

If you want a bid to any of the top six sororities (ddd/xo/kd/dg/phimu/kkg) you will need to have multiple connections or actives and/or alumni advisors who will go to bat for you.

Just knowing a few girls in the house is helpful, but will these girls go to bat for you.

For the pnm's that I love and will die if they don't chose my house, I have invited them up to stay with me, I have created poster boards with their pictures and hung said poster in our chapter room, I have introduced them to several of my friends. I talk them up every chance I get. I have gone to our alumni advisors and told them how much we need them at our house on bid day. I will invite them to pre-game with me and my sisters after classes start. I will BEG my sisters to support and vote for them!

Will the girls you know in each house do this for you? If not, don't be surprised to be cut. In every house, girls already know who their favorites are and have me pushing them through since last semester.
