bottom tier
by: wanna know
Okay, so so many people keep asking why top sororities are top, I would like to know why bottom sororities are known as bottom?
I don't want the canned response, like they are not as old or established, every sorority with the exception of ADPi has alumni who send them money.
So, why the bad rap?

you answered the question yourself. bottom is bottom because they were most recently founded and haven't had the time to build the alumni support like the top has. look at the dates and see for yourself. They started taking whoever they could get, so lots of rejects (for lack of better terms) would pledge the newest house and make the best out of it. So year after year of getting the not-so-wanted girls built a legacy of "odd" girls for some chapters. It's just the way it is. Bottom girls also didn't have the connections to top and middle tier girls when they went through rush. I actually had another pnm tell me she wanted to be a theta when I went rush. If they are happy there, more power to them. The lack of connections (girls who aren't from MS or a southern state and don't know anyone who goes to Ole Miss) don't get in houses where connections are needed which is DDD, Chi O, KD, Kappa, Phi Mu, and DG.

Sororities are just like high school cliques. You figure it out!
There is a place the everyone.
Yes, for the millionth time, bottom tier sororities get the girls that other sororities passed on. But not for any one reason! Could be grades or reputation or lack of connections, or maybe she was just someone who rubbed people the wrong way with their incessant questions.
