recs
by: pnm#3 by: Active :)
Send in the ones that you already have now. That way nationals have you in their little system for rush! You will have time to get more recs, but you need to start sending your first ones in so sororities know you're on your way!
One won't do. Even for AOPi and Pi Phi, they are rising and requiring higher standards and more recs.
Again! Send in the ones you already have NOW and then get more and send them in when you can! Make the mark and gradually spread your name, if you get me. This will make actives look at you sooner than later.

I think this post is confusing a lot of girls.
Recs are form letters filled out by one alumni. There is no need to have multiple recs as all the information would be the same! They are just basic fill in the blank forms that usually just regurgitate your résumé and registration paperwork. Letters of support are written on the alumnis personal stationary and and usually all mushy gushy on how wonderful the pnm is.
The ladies writing your letters of support will send those letters to your rec writer who will include all letters, pictures, résumé, transcripts, etc to the rush chairs of each chapter.
ONE rec. MULTIPLE letters of support.

You are not screwed!
One rec is all you technically need to receive a bid.
Multiple letters of support on top of those recs will give our rush team a better understanding of who you are as a person.
Remember that we cannot possibly get to know all 1800-1900 girls coming through rush. We rely on these letters to paint a picture of who you are and what you are like.

Ok thanks I'm new to this so how do we get both recs in the same packet? Does one of the rec writers have to send their rec to the other so they can be sent to the sorority in the same packet? Sorry for the dumb questions
