colors

So, I had a KD tell me that for pref she wore a green dress to signal to KD that she was hoping for a bid from them. She also said that she had a red dress as a back up if she decided she liked xo better.
Do a lot of girls do this? As actives, do you get the subtle hints?
If i wear a green dress will Tri Delt cut me because they think I want KD?

I am also paranoid about the same thing!!! There are so many colors represented in all of our sororities that I'm nervous that if I wear a certain color on the first day that sororities will think I just want to be in whatever sorority that has that color. Especially as the rounds get narrower! When I see bid day pictures and I see a girl in nike shorts that are a different sorority's color than the one she got a bid from I always wonder if she thought she was going to get the other sorority and wore those shorts to match her jersey...

Jesus you're reading way too into this. There are multiple sororities that have the colors red, blue, white, and pink. I wore a blue dress on pref night and went to chi o and DG. My dress choice did not effect who I received a bid from. I chose the blue dress because I look great in blue. If you're that concerned, were a patterned or multi colored dress. No one is going to look at your blue nike shorts and think you're pledging dg or adpi, etc.

I really never looked at a PNM's dress and thought "UGH!!! BLUE??? LIKE KAPPA?? OH SHE'S GONE! SHE DOESN'T WANT US!!".
Please, please, please don't over think this. Wear a dress that makes you feel and look good! We really don't care about color. We're looking for your enthusiasm during pref, not whether your dress matches our colors.
My advice: don't wear black or white, we're wearing that. Pref is your last chance to leave an impression. If you love pink and want to be a KD, wear pink! If you look hot in red but want to impress DDD, wear red and work it!! Don't be boring and wear black and white. Wear what you want to wear. We really don't look into it.

Cute but it doesn't really matter what you wore. I don't think that the color of your outfit made the girls go "She wore red? She wore red! She's one of us!"
