asking rec writers
by: pnmIs it bad to ask rec writers if they know anyone else who can help you with letters for other houses? I am currently struggling, I have reached out but failed to get responses from some alum groups:(

You could say I REALLY want your sorority, but I still want to keep my options open and make sure I have a good rush! We all understand! If your Rec writer understands anything about ole miss, she will understand your need to keep your options open!

It happens all the time!!! That's how I found most of my recs!! Even if you already have one for each sorority, ask away! The more the merrier!
Just make sure that you send a thank you letter. Say "Thank you so much for helping me with my ABC rec! I'm so excited to rush!! You have done so much for me, but I am struggling to find a rec for XYZ house. If you could help me find a rec for XYZ that would be amazing! Again, thank you!"

I just want to make sure I word it right. For the sorority she wrote me a letter for, she thinks I REALLY want it, when the truth is I will be happy in any house that I fit in. How did you word it to your rec writer?
