exceptions

What exceptions would make it okay if a pmn doesnt have any connections to a house?

Every house takes pnms without connections or legacy status. I was offered a bid to a top house that I had no connections with. I wasn't a legacy and didn't know any actives. But I did have solid rec letters and letters of support from non ole miss alumni. I also had a good GPA and a great resume. I'm talking lots of activities and involvement and a 3.5+. I really connected with every girl I talked to at this house during rush. So obviously there are exceptions. If you have a good resume and really connect with them during rush, they could take you over a boring girl with lots of connections.
