transfer as an active brother
by: SigNuDo fraternities here accept brothers from other chapters? Say as a Sigma Nu from up north, if I transferred here would I be given active brother status or would I need to go through rush?

You would need to affiliate with the sigma nu chapter at ole miss. It's fairly easy since you're alfeady an active member of sigma nu. There would need to be something really really wrong with you for them to not let you affiliate at ole miss. And second, if you got initiated into a fraternity, you can't go through rush again...

An initiated member cannot quit his frat and join another unless he was released by nationals or expelled from his chapter.

There are plenty of people at my campus that disaffiliate from their frats and join other ones. Sig Nu on the other hand does not take deserters.
