pref night

I went to Kappa and Delta Gamma on pref night and loved both houses very much. I had older friends in both and was very torn as I went to go rank my top house that night. Kappa had amazing energy the entire week so pref night was a bit of a change because it's so much more serious. DG's pref night song was beautiful. There were two reasons I pref'd the house I'm in today and I won't list them because it would give it away. Pref night is absolutely beautiful and emotional.

I went through rush two years ago when we preffed three houses.

I loved two of the three. My third choice house had a goal to make the girls cry and tried too hard. I felt like a square peg in a round hole.
I did cry at my second choice house, not because I was moved to join,but because I knew in my heart I wouldn't be returning on bid day.
My first choice house was super casual. They knew I wanted them and I knew that was where I belonged. We just talked that night about what to expect on bid day and beyond. I knew when our first swap was going to be and what the theme was!
Bid day, I ran to my first choice house!

Somebody who doesn't want to admit that they were cut from dg after pref night. That's how she ends up going aopi and pretending it was her choice.

Believe it or not, maybe she felt more comfortable or that the other house was a better fit for her? Not all girls make their decisions based on "tiers." There's more to a choosing a sorority than that. Both responses to this comment are so extremely shallow and rude.

I chose AOPi because I liked the girls better. They were genuine and I felt like I fit in the best in that house. And believe it or not, not everyone would pretend to like a top house just so they can say they're in a top tier.

Even if she did get dropped from DG, she still got AOPi! And what matters is that she seems to love AOPi so how she got into AOPi really doesn't matter. Everyone needs to just stop and realize that she seems happy in her house because in the end that's what it's about!

DG did not cut anyone after pref haha they gave out snap bids the morning of bid day. I've actually had DG's confirm this.

Every house had to cut people after pref except ADPi. DG only extended 130 bids and had over 200 girls on pref night. DG did in fact give out a snap bid, but it wasn't to make quota

I chose AOII over a higher "ranked" house because I felt like I fit in better and I was so much more comfortable there.. It gets old when people assume that girls go a lower tier because they got cut from a top tier house.

YES!! OMG I hate it when girls think that I got dropped from a top house to go to an other!! @:) said that she made the right choice for HER. Everyone has their opinions but we're so done with girls thinking that everyone will choose a top tier house no matter what!
IDK why there's a fight over this comment. Who cares if she got dropped or didn't get dropped after pref? Top tier girls need to stop filling up their egos and bashing on this girl for getting dropped (if she did)

I preffed at Phi Mu and Kappa. Phi Mu's pref was airy and gorgeous. it featured all the members in pale pink dresses and lots of light colored flowers. I spoke with two girls while I was there and they did a beautiful job of telling me what Phi Mu meant to them. Kappa's pref was completely opposite. All the girls wore different black dresses representing uniqueness and the room was dark with low lighting. It created such a personal feeling with the girl that was talking to you. I absolutely love my sorority and I don't regret my choice one bit.

Thank you for not naming your sorority.
However, I do believe you are a kappa mainly because kappa trolls this site constantly and you never really see phi mu on here.
