do people put their parent's occupations on their resume? I don't know if I should or not.

I put it on mine. Didn't help or hurt. I still ended up in the best house (for me)!

It's not necessary. The ladies writing your rec letters and letters of support will indicate to the sorority whether you're financially capable of paying dues or not.
